Making straw hats became my passion after being diagnosed with skin cancer in 2015
Beach Hare is a modern artisanal hat collection designed by Tamra Maher in NYC.
The Beach Hare collection is a play on classic modern shapes with a chic downtown vibe that takes you from the city to the beach.
Tamra Maher founded her company after she was diagnosed with skin cancer in the Spring of 2015. As she started to heal, she began designing her own hats and enrolled in the Millinery program at F.I.T.
Beach Hare was launched at makers markets in 2017 and can now be found in Boutiques across the U.S and St. Barths . Each hat is designed and created in her NYC studio. They’re hand blocked, steamed and stitched with love🤍
